Milestones:  1992 to 1994

In 1992, our belief that "people care" was reinforced when 1,300 children's lives were touched by the overwhelming donations from major corporations such as Rainbo Baking Company and Chefs' Produce. 

In 1993, Coca-Cola Bottling and Fiesta Mart, Inc. became our most recent ANGELS.

• Dec 12:  Host 1,300 children at the Astroarena Pavillion.

• Dec 23:  Navidad En El Barrio along with Super Tejano FM, distributed gifts on Life Flight to area hospitals.

• Dec 23:  Board Members distributed gifts to children at LBJ County Hospital.

• Dec 24:  Volunteers and Board Members surprised 10 low-income families with toys.

NEEB 1994 Navidad En El Barrio activities grow

• May:  "Grooming for Success," - Erick Mann, a famous cosmetologist, provides haircuts free-of-charge for 50 needy children.  Mr. Mann wanted to help children and show that through proper grooming, self-esteem could be elevated.

• Jun:  "Young at Heart Day" for Senior Citizens -- 48 seniors received a party full of prizes, games, entertainment, and food.  Each received a $10.00 gift certificate from Fiesta and a goody bag containing canned food.

• Dec 18:  Astroarena Pavillion Party -- 1,800 children from 48 area schools attend.

• Dec 24:  Board Members along with Volunteers, delivered toys and food to 60 low-income families.
