Navidad En El
Barrio accomplishes new goals in 1997!

Apr 12: NEEB invites 100 TEENS for a day
fill with motivational speakers, skits performed by the students, food,
and a dance. Each teen received a $25.00 gift provided by CHEF'S
PRODUCE.

May 17: Benavides Drive Inn hosts 5th
Annual Benefit Golf Tourney for NEEB.

Jul 12: 4th Annual "Young at Heart Day"
for senior citizens. Once again 150 guests were invited, each receiving
a $10.00 gift check from Fiesta Mart, food, door prizes and all were
treated to a dance.

Dec: Las Posadas Golf Tourney donates
$2,000. Founded by Atty. Juan Contreras.

Dec 6: First Annual Navidad En El Barrio
Benefit Dance held at the Arabia Shrine Temple.

Dec 11: Dovalina, Eureste, Villarreal &
Landa, L.L.P. host Xmas Party benefitting Navidad En El Barrio.

Dec 14: Navidad En El Barrio host its
11th annual grand party for 2,000 children at the Astroarena Pavillion.
Over $26,000 is budgeted and 100 children receive bikes as door prizes,
in addition to their three gifts and goodies.

Dec 17: NEEB assist 30 families and 70
children with toys at Sam Houston High School.

Dec 24: Family Assistance: Caravan of
friends and family simultaneously deliver gifts and food to 90 families
beginning at 6:00 P.M.

12th annual grand party for 2,200 children at the Astroarena Pavillion.
Over $28,000 is budgeted and 108 children receive bikes as door prizes,
in addition to their three gifts and goodies.

Dec 10: Dovalina, Eureste, Villarreal &
Landa, L.L.P. host Xmas Party benefitting Navidad En El Barrio.

Dec 19: NEEB expands to LAREDO, TEXAS.
Sheriff Juan Garza hosts a party for 550 children, inviting 22 schools
and distributing 44 bicycles as door prizes in addition to their 3-4
gifts to each child.
