Mandatory School Meeting,
Ripley House Community Center, 4410 Navigation Blvd. 713-315-6400

	Mandatory meeting for all school representatives for full instruction on participation in the Houston Christmas Program.
	Time: Noon-1PM
	Location: Ripley House Community Center, 4410 Navigation Blvd. 713-315-6400

	Hand out packets and inform participants of requirements and schedules for upcoming party.
	Distribute flyers and tickets for Annual Benefit Dance.
	Tickets to our Annual Benefit Dance must be sold to partake in 2007 program.
	Review School Package Information

During past years, attendance at the MANDATORY meeting has decreased, schools have not received correct information and tickets have not been picked up.

This year, because numerous schools have expressed interest in joining, any school who fails to send a representative will be excluded from the program. If you cannot attend, it is imperative that you send someone else who can attend for you.

Please be sure that you call and confirm participation in this year's program.

Deadline to Input Children's Names and T-shirt Order
Fax T-Shirt order to 713-937-7980. Call to confirm receipt at 832-689-4518.

Purpose:

	Deadline for the list of 40 children participating in the Christmas Program. Must be submitted via WEB SITE. Participants age range should be from 6 to 12 years old only. Access to web input page will be suspended at 5:00 P.M.
	Any donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
	Fax T-Shirt Order Form and payment due upon receipt. (NO CHILD SIZES) Fax to 713-937-7980.

Houston Deadline for Contest Essays and Artwork: Essays, Art work, Pick-up T-shirts
Place: Schedule meeting with your Navidad En El Barrio Liaison.

	Deadline for Essay Contest submissions.
	Theme: "If I had 3 wishes, I would wish for..."
	Completed Essay Cover Sheet must accompany each entry; otherwise, essay will not be judged.
	To acquire child's own thoughts, please make this assignment a classroom project.
	Essay winners include 1st through 3rd in each age group and will be recognized at the Christmas Party.
	Submit artwork donated by school for silent auction at the the Annual Benefit Dance.
	Pick-up T-Shirt order.

Deadline for Houston Dance Tickets Money
Place: Schedule meeting with your Navidad En El Barrio Liaison.

	Dance ticket money must be turned in. NO TICKET MONEY WILL BE COLLECTED AT THE DANCE.
	A minimum of 10 tickets must be sold to participate in the 2007 program.
	Failure to deliver money by this date could jeopardize participation.

Gift Wrapping Party
Location: George R. Brown Convention Center, go to Hall D.

	Wrap approximately 10,000 gifts.
	Send volunteers from each school with gift wrapping donations.
	Bring banner (created by children) with school name. It may be displayed at the the Astrodome the day of the Christmas Program.
	Wrapping paper, scissors and tape is needed for 9,000 gifts and any donations become NEEB's property.
	If your school has any resources for treats for the children's goody bags, please let us know!!! Thank you!!

20th Annual Navidad En El Barrio Christmas Program
Location: George R. Brown Convention Center, go to Hall D.

	20th Annual Navidad En El Barrio Christmas Program.
	Arrival no later than 9:30 am to Convention Center
	Please remember that we ask that at least 1 canned good per child be donated at the program. Let's show our children how they can help too!
	Submit any outstanding Authorization & Release of Liability forms to Liaisons before students board bus.
	REMEMBER! Parents are not to be included, therefore, a chaperone for every 10 children is required. Please advise chaperones that they are not to bring other children.

Annual Benefit Dance
Place: Arabia Shrine Temple

	Annual benefit Dance to held at the Arabia Shrine Temple beginning at 7PM.
	DJ!
	Location: 2900 N. Braeswood, between Buffalo Speedway and Kirby.
	Tickets: Pre-Sale: $10.00, Door: $15.00.
	We ask that a canned good be donated at the door to help Houston Area food pantries.

	Your liaison should contact your school no later than September 30, 2007.
