Navidad en el Barrio
Navidad en el Barrio's mission is making life more pleasant for those less fortunate than others. Diversifying its interests to all age groups has enabled the organization to continue bringing smiles to those who otherwise might have lost all hope.
A Message From Our President
Navidad en el Barrio began at the Ripley House Community Center in 1987 with a $5,000 contribution from Rainbo Baking Company.
Since then, Navidad en el Barrio has grown to encompass Christmas Programs in three major cities, Snow Day in Texas and special events for our "older kids". Our hard work and dedication would have produced much less were it not for the tireless efforts of thousands of volunteers and our treasured corporate sponsors.
We invite you to learn more about us, visit our events, volunteer your help, donate, and make a personal difference in our world. We look forward to meeting you along the way.
Message from our Board of Directors:
Hello Navidad Angels,
We have some awesome news to share with you. Pedro is graduating in August from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and his lifelong dream of providing medical care to others is coming true. Pedro was our first ever scholarship recipient and continually reminds us of why the work of this organization is needed in providing hope for our youth. He has had many struggles but also has had many helping hands that have kept him going and reminding him of his end goal.
Thank you to those that have been there for Pedro. He has almost crossed the finish line, but he has some last minute financial obstacles where he needs assistance. For this, he has created a Go Fund Me page. However, if you would like to donate to Navidad en el Barrio and designate those funds to Pedro, 100% of the funds would go directly to Pedro and your donation would also be tax deductible.
Here is the Go Fund Me page and the direct link to the Navidad en el Barrio donation page for Pedro. Thank you for considering donating to Pedro’s future and thank you for believing in Pedro and all our youth that just need a helping hand and words of encouragement.
